PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Spencer Hayes is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Oxford Alliance, LP. OALP operates brokerage, development and investment interests in Central Texas through subsidiary entities. The highest profile operation of OALP is Oxford Commercial, one of the area’s premier commercial real estate service firms, where Spencer has served as President since 2002. Responding to the strength of its market position, ability to source profitable deals, and relationships with trusted capital sources, OALP began its development and investment efforts and has initiated projects exceeding $50 million since the beginning of 2006.

Oxford Commercial, Inc. was formed in 1993 when, together with two partners, Spencer acquired the Austin branch of Cushman & Wakefield and merged it with a successful management, brokerage, and development services firm, the Oxford Group. Recently, Oxford joined forces with Cushman & Wakefield again by becoming a member of the Cushman & Wakefield Alliance, giving it the resources of the world’s premier real estate service firm.

Historically, Spencer has handled consulting and marketing assignments for clients who require the most creative solutions for office and tech/flex space. As one of the most active and respected commercial real estate professionals in Austin, Spencer is Oxford’s top historical production leader and was recognized as the firm’s Top Producer in 1994, 1997, and 2001. He oversees the development and investment efforts for OALP, and has led the capital raising efforts for every project it has completed.

As a broker, Spencer has been involved in lease transactions exceeding 3,000,000 square feet and sales of over 650,000 square feet in Austin. His clients have included: Behringer Harvard, St. David’s Healthcare Partnership, Claydesta, Bedford Property Investors, CarrAmerica, Catellus, Dell Computer, KBS Realty Advisors, Capital Spectrum, Pavilion Technologies, Seagate Technology, Whole Foods Market, Computer Associates, and Electrosource.

AFFILIATIONS
In 2002, Governor Rick Perry appointed Spencer to the Lease Board of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Spencer has served as an active leader in other areas of the community through Austin Revitalization Authority, Boy Scouts of America, Priority Associates, Grace Covenant Church, and The Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Regents School of Austin, the largest private school in Central Texas.

His professional affiliations include SIOR (one of thirteen in Austin), Austin Commercial Real Estate Society, Commercial Leasing Brokers Association, The Real Estate Council of Austin and Young Presidents Organization.

EDUCATION
Spencer earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Tech University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
