PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Michael K. Tipps is a co-founder and partner of Oxford Commercial. Along with the other Oxford Commercial owners, Michael started the firm in 1992. From 1998 to 2000, Michael served as Managing General Partner, helping to guide the firm to its current position as the market leader for commercial brokerage services in Central Texas. Michael was named Broker of the Year by the Austin Business Journal in 2003, 2005, 2010 and was the top producer for Oxford Commercial in 2004, 2005 and 2007. Recently, Michael also received the Best Real Estate Award for 2010 from the Austin Business Journal.

 PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

As a 26-year veteran of commercial real estate brokerage in Austin, he focuses on technology and corporate clients. His unique ability is structuring creative real estate solutions for his client’s complex needs.

By utilizing The Peak Process, a specialized program that he co-created, Michael is able to partner with his clients to function as an extension of the management team, insuring an experience that produces exceptional results.

Michael is an individual member of the “Society of Industrial and Office Realtors” and former president, a past board member of Colliers Parrish International, and a past board member and current member of the Austin Commercial Real Estate Society.

EDUCATION

Michael is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Finance.

AFFILIATIONS

Michael spearheaded the formation and served as Chairman of Links for Life – Austin, a non-profit foundation formed to help abused children in the Central Texas community. He is founder of Journey 2 Manhood, a nation-wide outreach focused on helping fathers mentor their sons. He is involved in numerous community activities including Hill Country Bible Church, Town & Country Optimists, the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, and Meals on Wheels & More. Michael currently serves on the board of directors for Northwest Austin Young Life and the Town and Country Youth Lacrosse League.
